[Zero Moment] EQ12&EQ12Pro Adjusting Fan Speed Tutorial

Adjusting the CPU fan speed can serve different purposes, depending on your computer and usage.

Reduce Noise: If your fan is very noisy, you can reduce the noise by reducing the CPU fan speed. This can be achieved by setting the CPU fan speed control in the BIOS or .

Improve performance: If your computer's performance is slowing down, you can try adjusting the CPU speed to improve performance. This can be achieved by setting the CPU fan speed control in the BIOS.

Next, I will teach you how to adjust the CPU fan speed of EQ12!

Specific steps:

1. For advanced BIOS, turn off the computer first, press the power button to turn on the computer and after the logo appears on the screen, quickly press the [Del] button to enter the BIOS

2. Switch to [Advanced] and enter [Hardware Monitor]

3. Then enter 【Smart Fan Function】

4. [CPU Smart Fan Mode] is set for the CPU fan, and [System Smart Fan Mode] is set for the hard disk fan

[Manual Mode] In this mode, the factory preset parameters can only be adjusted after using this option.

[Full on Mode] This mode is full speed mode, the fan runs at the highest speed

[Automatic Mode] This mode is a custom mode that can be used to customize the temperature and speed. If you need to set more parameters, you can use this mode

5. When [CPU Smart Fan Mode] is set to [Automatic Mode], we can see that there are many parameters, and the specific parameters are explained below

  • 【Fan off temperature limit】:35

Fan stop working temperature, the default parameter is 35 degrees, when the CPU temperature is lower than 35 degrees, the fan stops rotating

  • 【Fan start temperature limit】:40

The fan starts working temperature. The default parameter is 40 degrees. When the CPU temperature is higher than 40 degrees, the fan starts to rotate.

  • 【Fan full speed temperature limit】:90

The working temperature of the fan at full speed, the default parameter is 90, when the CPU temperature is higher than 90 degrees, the fan will work at the maximum speed

  • 【Fan start PWM】:65

The PWM value is the rotation speed of the CPU fan. The full speed value is 127 (100%). The default value is: 65 (50%). The minimum value can be set to: 30 (25%). When the fan exceeds the full speed operating temperature, it will not be affected by the PWM value. Affected, the fan works at full speed, that is, the PWM value is 127, and when the temperature is lower than the fan's full speed, it runs at the numerical speed set by PWM.

  • 【PWM SLOPE SETTING】:2 PWM

The coefficient of fan speed increase, the default value is: 2 PWM, used to set the coefficient of fan speed increase. When the temperature rises by one degree, the fan will increase the speed by a factor of 1 based on the Fan Start PWM value. (To adjust the fan speed, you can set this item to 2~4 PWM) [Fan Start PWM] (set the initial speed of the CPU fan) is required to cooperate with this option.

The above parameters can be modified according to your needs.

It should be noted that adjusting the CPU speed may have a negative impact on the computer, so proceed with caution. If you're not sure how to change the settings, seek professional help.
