Beckhoff PLC: switch the servo to torque mode through MC_WriteDriveOperationMode

  1. The operation process
uses the function block as shown below
. The word "servo" comes from the Greek word "slave". The servo motor can be understood as a motor that absolutely obeys the command of the control signal. , the rotor rotates immediately; when the control signal disappears, the rotor can stop immediately.

Servo motors are divided into DC servo motors and AC servo motors. DC servo motors are relatively cheap, and AC servo motors are more commonly used. There are synchronous and asynchronous, servo motors have superior control characteristics, precision capabilities and high-speed performance. Due to its outstanding performance, it is widely used in non-standard automation equipment. In automation applications, it is mainly in some demanding high-speed, high-precision, and frequent acceleration and deceleration transfer and positioning processes.

The closed-loop control often said in non-standard automation design.
The servo motor is a micro-motor used as an actuator in an automatic control device. Its function is to convert electrical signals into angular displacement or angular velocity of the rotating shaft. Servo motors are mainly controlled by servo drives. The servo drive is an electronic control device matched with the motor, which can trigger a pulse signal, and the servo motor will rotate a corresponding angle after receiving a pulse, thereby realizing angular displacement.

Because the servo motor also has the function of sending pulses, every time the servo motor rotates an angle, it will send out a corresponding number of pulse feedback, which echoes the pulses received by the servo motor. This is the closed-loop control that is often said in non-standard automation design. The system will know how many pulses are sent to the servo motor, and how many pulses are received back at the same time, so as to accurately control the rotation of the motor.

Three control methods of servo motor
1. Torque control

If you have no requirements for the speed and position of the motor, of course use the torque mode. It is mainly used in winding and unwinding devices that have strict requirements on material stress, such as winding devices
