This blog describes the installation steps of the Epic Games Launcher, problems encountered during the installation process, and plug-in download problems.

Download the Epic Games Launcher compressed package, which can be downloaded through the following address

2. Unzip and install, and then you will see the Epic Games shortcut key on the desktop. When you double-click to open it, it will fail to open, as shown in the figure below.
Solve the problem that the Epic Games Launcher cannot be opened.
Solution : Click the shortcut key -> properties, and add a property information at the end of the Target address: -http=wininet, as shown in the figure below. Note: There are spaces in between. (The http protocol is implemented in this way through wininet). However, this method may still cause the problem of not being able to open, because the official website recommends not to add this attribute.
So another way is recommended here, which is still to add attributes: -noselfupdate means no automatic update.
Double-click to open again, successfully
3 Register and log in, if you encounter the problem that the second login fails to open, you can try to open it through the administrator mode
4 Download Unreal Engine Unreal Engine—Library in Epic games
--select the UE version you need Just download it, and the download process will take a while,

5 Install the plug-ins required by UE:
1) StreamVR Input for Unreal
Unreal—Marketplace—search for StreamVR Input for Unreal—choose Free——choose install toEngine
