1. Problem description
When using Envi5.3 to calculate the vegetation index, it appeared: ENVI Error:
Wavelengths must be defined to calculate vegetation indices
Open the image to be processed (Landsat8 preprocessed, surface albedo data cropped by a certain county), and found many Band information is missing.
2. Envi edits image header file information
2.1 View the original image header file
First load the [xxx_MTL.txt] file of Landsat8, [File] → [Open AS] → [Landsat] → [GeoTIFF with Metadata]
Load the [xxx_MTL.txt] file of Landsat8
and right click to view the header file information of Landsat8
2.2 Add header file information
Select the information to be added, eg: Band Names; Bands; Fwhm...
Click [ok] to process, and the final result is shown in the figure below:
Then you can use the vegetation index calculation tool in Envi to calculate NDVI.
