1. Switch root user

When using the su command in the terminal to switch to the root user, there will be an  Authentication failure (authentication failure) prompt.

1. First use the shortcut key crtl+alt+T to open the terminal, and the display shows the user name@computer name:~$, and the symbol $ means that it is now under normal user authority.

2. Create a password for root

sudo passwd root

Enter the password. After success, it will display passwd: password updated successfully, and you can switch to the root user.
