KDE has fixed a lot of bugs and other issues this week, including a major overhaul of the multi-GPU infrastructure, and Intel and AMD GPUs used in Plasma 6 are "no longer bad".
Previously, the development team forced KWin to use a linear modifier in order to solve the bug of the driver. While the driver bug was successfully resolved, it led to another display issue: any blurring on a display connected to the integrated GPU whenever the dedicated GPU was used for compositing, causing very serious performance issues.
The latest patch merge alleviates the problem a bit, and the title is quite straightforward: "make multi gpu not suck".
Other updates from KDE this week:
new function
You can now choose not to switch to another window when performing an action that would automatically jump to another window.
Useful for work, such as opening a large number of links from an email, but each time you open a link, the window automatically switches to a web browser. After the new function is enabled, it is not necessary to automatically jump to the browser.
