Remember a successful iPhone repair

Just like Windows98 and later Android phones, these devices with smart systems will have more and more problems after being used for a long time. Although the iPhone is not easy to get stuck more and more, but the storage space will still be less and less, until the system prompts frequently, if you ignore it all the time, the whole system will crash. (After I use it, probably only ubuntu will not have this kind of problem, at least it will not cause problems for no reason, as long as you don’t make install a lot of repetitive programs.)

My iPhone recently had this problem. I have tried all the common tricks, such as deleting all the photos and videos in the album, deleting large games, and later I deleted the entire WeChat APP, but it still didn’t work. Every once in a while iPhone storage is running low again. I also searched for a long time on the Internet, and there was no good solution, but I finally got it done, and I posted my method, hoping to help people who encounter the same problem.

Next, I will post the steps to restore space on the iPhone below. Since the pictures are all screenshots, the content in the picture may not be exactly the same as when the problem first occurred, but the steps are these steps.

If your storage space keeps showing insufficient storage space, even after deleting something, you can first pay attention to the system data at the bottom of the iPhone storage space. If you find that it keeps increasing every day, you can consider using mine. method to clean it up. I had about 30G before cleaning, and after cleaning, as shown in the picture below, only less than 8G. The problem is that the iPhone doesn't have a one-click cleanup option, so I did some special steps.

First, I plugged the iphone into the Apple computer and wanted to make a backup, as shown in the picture below.

But the backup takes a long time, and I unplugged the data cable before the backup was successful.

Then I went back into the iphone and started trying system restore. Click "Transfer or Restore iPhone" -> "Erase All Content and Settings" -> "Continue"

After reaching the next step, wait for a while and then click "Cancel". Don't really wait for the progress bar to run to the end. Otherwise, the whole system will be restored.

Return to the desktop at this time, and you will see that some program icons will be lost from time to time, such as the "compass" in the picture below, which means that the phone is cleaning up temporary files and does not affect the use.

At this time, if you check the iPhone storage space again, you will find that there will be a lot of extra space, so the problem will be solved. There is no need to go to great lengths to really restore the system.

To sum it up, I tried doing a system backup and restore. But none of them were really completed, but during this period, the system automatically cleaned up temporary files, which finally solved my problem. I don't know if only system backup or only restore can achieve the same effect. If you also encounter such a problem, you can try it alone to see which step triggers the work of cleaning up temporary files.

In addition, I also want to record how I cleaned up my Apple computer when it ran out of space. My main concern is 2 parts. One part is a temporary file of iMovie edited video. The other part is the file corresponding to the mail, which needs to be found and deleted through the Finder to specify the temporary mail directory.

For the first part, you need to delete the unused video material in iMovie first.

Then use Finder to delete some missing past materials in the following location, such as the 1.49G rto, I have already deleted it in iMovie, but it still exists, so I need to delete it again like this.

For the second part, use finder to find a special directory, and update it when you find it another day.
