PuTTY is a Telnet, SSH, rlogin, pure TCP and serial interface connection software. Earlier versions only supported the Windows platform, and in the most recent version, various Unix platforms have been supported, and it is planned to be ported to Mac OS X. In addition to the official version, there are many third-party groups or individuals porting PuTTY to other platforms, such as Symbian-based mobile phones. PuTTY is an open source software mainly maintained by Simon Tatham and licensed under the MIT licence. With the popularity of Linux in server-side applications, Linux system management is increasingly dependent on remote. Among the various remote login tools, Putty is one of the great ones. Putty is a free, Windows x86 platform Telnet, SSH and rlogin client, but the functionality is not inferior to commercial Telnet-like tools. The latest version is 0.67 Beta [1].
