Feelings after watching "think in java"

Before, I just heard that JAVA has a very good book called "think in java"
last night, after reading some, I have a huge feeling. I feel that the previous 3 years of development have really been in vain.
Personal understanding of software development is divided into the following steps:
    1. First, do technology selection, considering whether the technology is open source, compatibility, scalability, and update speed.
    2. Build a technical framework.
    3. Conceive the design pattern of the code in your mind, or recall the design pattern experience that has been used.
    4. Understand and analyze the business needs of customers, form requirements documents and other additional products.
    5. Infer from the customer's needs, and use the design patterns in mind or before to realize the customer's needs.
    6, data modeling, database design.
    7. Coding and testing.

If there is anything wrong, please give me some guidance, you are welcome.
Because you are the beacon on my way forward.
thanks.
