After a lapse of 3 years, one of the best open source projects in 2016 organized by OSC made Gem excited and rekindled a strong desire to upgrade JeeSite. Thanks to OSC for providing such a good platform of Code Cloud, and thanks to Brother Sweet Potato for his personal blessing!
Sorry, JeeSite has received very little maintenance due to busy work in recent years. Under such circumstances, JeeSite is still deeply favored by everyone, which makes Gem feel very ashamed. I would like to sincerely thank you for your encouragement and support. Support, otherwise there is no JeeSite today.
JeeSite has been used in various fields such as enterprises, governments, medical care, finance, and the Internet since it was open sourced. JeeSite's design ideas and development models have also penetrated into the hearts of supporters, and have also helped many fresh graduates to quickly learn and practice. The planning Gem for this upgrade also combines past experience and summarises application cases in various aspects, and restructures the architecture once, and also incorporates some new ideas. Great progress has been made in developer mode, underlying architecture, logic processing and user interface. The most important thing is security and stability, reducing learning costs and improving development efficiency.
Due to the change of the times and the evolution of technology, the planning structure has changed a lot this time, so the compatibility of the previous version will not be considered. Now that I have a plan, I will implement it. Without affecting my normal work, all plans are arranged in my spare time, which means that I will sacrifice my spare time to learn new knowledge. Having said that, the results of the planning are also what I am looking forward to very much. I can realize each of my ideas and goals in recent years here. Regarding the open source license, there are too many twinned products or directly sold under the name. Some are understandable and incomprehensible. I won't say too much here, and I won't express any opinions. In short, the new version of License should have some changes. The open source protocol of ALv2 is changed to GPLv3 or AGPL, and the core code is temporarily closed, which will not affect the secondary development.
Regarding the version number, I would like to thank the springside4 of Jiangnan Baiyi for being a great inspiration and help to me, so 4 is the second milestone version number of jeesite.
