ArchiSurance - Business Layer Example

In this example, (1) the customer and (2) the ArchiSurance are business subjects, ie active entities that perform actions, such as business processes or functions.

Business roles are assigned to each role. (1) The customer acts as (3) the insurer and uses the damage insurance product.

(2) ArchiSurance has (4) the role of insurer and is responsible for declaring damage to business processes, which is represented by the assignment relationship between business processes and roles.

(5) The damage claim process consists of four business functions.

In this example, the "external" and "internal" behaviors of (2) ArchiSurance are distinguished.

Externally visible behaviors are modeled as business services implemented by internal business functions: ((6) Claims Registration Service, (7) Customer Information Service and (8) Claims Service): ((A) Registration, (B) Acceptance, ( C) Evaluation, (D) Payment).

These commercial services are grouped together with (9) contracts into a product.

The value of the product in this example is "insurance" or "safety".
