According to the "2017 China Unicorn Enterprise Development Report": In 2017, there were 164 Chinese unicorn enterprises, 62 new ones, with a total valuation of 628.4 billion US dollars.

The Chinese unicorn enterprise standards identified in this list are:
① Enterprises with legal personality registered in China;
②The establishment time is not more than ten years (established in 2007 and after);
③ It has obtained private equity investment and has not yet been listed;
④Those who meet the conditions ①②③, and whose business valuation exceeds (inclusive) US$1 billion are called unicorns;
⑤ Those who meet the conditions ①②③ and whose business valuation exceeds (inclusive) US$10 billion are called super unicorns. (The valuation is based on the latest round of financing before December 31, 2017)
Through the independent declaration of enterprises, public data collection, recommendation of key high-tech zones, screening of the Great Wall strategic consulting database, and data support from third-party institutions, the data of candidate enterprises were aggregated, and 164 unicorn enterprises that met the standards were selected after review.
