In the data set editing interface, data modeling can be performed to better display the data. By default, when creating a data set, numeric fields are used as measures, and types such as dates and strings are used as dimensions. Measures can be displayed in groups according to dimensions. Here are some common features:
Dimension edit:
The following figure shows the dimension editing function:
1. Edit: Modify the dimension display name and remarks
2. Clone dimension: quickly copy a dimension, the generated dimension will automatically bring the copy as a reminder
3. Delete: delete the field
4. New calculation field (dimension): You can create a new dimension field, and you can customize its calculation method
5. Move to: Quickly incorporate dimensions into existing hierarchies, which can be used for drilling
6. New Hierarchy: Quickly incorporate dimensions into the newly created hierarchy
7. Move up/down: move the field position, support mouse drag and right click
8. Convert to measure: The current dimension field can be converted to a measure field
9. Dimension type switching: switching of default type, date and geographic dimension
Metric Edit:
The following figure shows the metric editing function:
1. Edit: Modify the dimension display name and remarks
2. Delete: delete the field
3. New Calculated Field (Measure): You can create a new measure field and customize its calculation method
4. Move to: Quickly incorporate metrics into existing folders
5. Move down: move the field position, support mouse drag and right click
6. Convert to dimension: The current measure field can be converted to a dimension field
7. Number Formatting: You can determine the display format of numbers
8. Default aggregation method: You can choose the aggregation method in the menu, such as summation, maximum value, minimum value, etc.
Multi-table association:
During data modeling, multi-table association can be performed according to requirements. Enter the building association model area as shown in the following figure, and select associated fields and dimension tables to associate. Currently supports the left join and inner join star association model. For details, please refer to: Multi-table association .
Notice:
(1) A calculated field is a new column constructed by the user who conforms to the grammar rules defined by the current data source SQL using existing fields and SQL support functions. It can be implemented by creating a new field. For details, please refer to: How to realize flexible data through calculated fields analyze
(2) Right-click on the time field and convert it to a date type, and the refresh reports an error similar to the following:
解决方案：错误原因，源格式类型选择匹配错误，原数据为20180403，则日期类型转化选择‘yyyyMMdd’类型，且目前只支持统一转化为yyyyMMdd类型。
（3）新建度量/维度 如果保存为文本形式，则创建报表排序按照字符顺序排列，若保存为数值类型，则按照数值排序。
（4）度量格式可以在度量右键编辑中自定义，或者右键格式化列表中选择，另外仪表板支持对系列设置（度量）设置一系列格式设置。
