Allegro's method of copying formate symbol files from one file to another

 

After allegro draws the PCB, it is often necessary to add some instructions. Thank you, such as stack-up information, impedance meter, etc., but it is too troublesome to draw it by yourself every time. Now I will write down how to reuse various formats.

1. Open the board containing this information, FILE->Export->sub drawing

2. Select the form you need, and then click, as shown in Figure 2

3. Change the directory in Figure 2 to the directory of the PCB to be copied (the name can be changed or not), and save it.

 

4. In the PCB to be copied, FILE->Import->sub drawing

5. Generally, the output file will appear in Figure 4. Select it, click OK, and put it in the new PCB.

 

6. If there is no relevant layer when importing, you need to create the same layer by yourself

setup-> subcalss 

 Write your name in the box and press Enter.
