1 SolidWorks function module

Parts module: Realize solid modeling, surface modeling, mold design, sheet metal design and weldments, etc.

Assembly: Parts can be designed and modified in the assembly environment, all movements of the assembly can be dynamically observed and dynamic interference checking and clearance checking can be performed, and new parts can be created by mirroring the parts symmetrically, and intelligent devices that capture and fit can be used for quick overall configuration

Drawings: Drawings can be automatically generated from the 3D drawings of the parts. When the drawings are modified, the part models, views, and assemblies will be automatically modified.

2 Basic operating skills

2.1 Operation of the mouse

Zoom graphics area: scroll the middle button of the mouse to zoom out forward and zoom in backward;

Panning the graphics area: Press Ctrl and the middle mouse button, move the mouse, and the graphics move along with it;

Rotate graphics area: Press the middle button of the mouse, move the mouse to rotate the graphics;

2.2 Object selection

2.2.1 Selecting a single object

 Left-click to select the desired object;

 In the 'feature tree' stand-alone object name, select the object;

2.2.2 Selecting multiple objects

 Press the Ctrl key and click the left mouse button to select multiple objects;

3 Sketching

  Establishing a 2D sketch is the basis for establishing a 3D solid or surface. Entering the sketch design environment, one must select one of the three base planes as the sketch reference plane.

 In the System Options dialog box, on the Document Properties tab, on the left stand-alone gridlines /snapping options, set the grid parameters

Create, delete midpoint, coincident, horizontal, congruent, tangent merge, parallel, vertical, fixed, symmetric, vertical and other constraints

Select System Options Sketch Options, and in the dialog box select the Enable on-screen numeric input when generating solids check box

4. Parts Design

Ways to model solids:

Building blocks: first create a base feature that reflects the main shape of the part, and then add other features on this basis

Solid 3D method of surface generation part: first create the surface feature of the part, and then convert the surface into a solid model

Solid 3D model method for generating parts from assemblies: first create the assembly, then create the parts in the assembly

  Entity Type : Sketched cross section completely filled with material

  Thin-wall type: Sketched cross-sections are filled with material into rings of uniform thickness

5.  Create an extruded feature as the part base feature

 Procedure: Define sketch planes, sketch cross sections, set extrusion properties after sketching

 View translation: ( 1) Drop-down menu view modification translation

            ( 2) Right-click the blank area to pan

           ( 3) Hold down Ctrl and the middle mouse button to pan

 View rotation: ( 1) drop-down menu view modification rotation

           ( 2) Right-click in the blank area of ​​the graphic to rotate the view

           ( 3) Press and hold the middle mouse button to move the mouse

6.  Design Tree

  Select objects in the design tree, change the item name, right-click a feature name or part name in the design tree to open a shortcut menu Use the blue back control bar to confirm and change the generation order of features, add custom folders to insert features

7.  Set part model properties

  Material: Select the drop-down menu to edit the appearance material , to create new materials and define part properties

  Units: option document property units , adjustable units and decimal places

  Display feature dimension values: click or double-click the feature in the design tree

  修改特征尺寸: 模型中双击要修改的尺寸 输入新尺寸 重建模型(

  修改特征尺寸修饰:选中要修改的特征,单击修饰的某个尺寸 左侧出现尺寸对话框 其它中可修改单位,引线可修改标注数值位置,数值可设置小数位数

8. 特征的编辑定义

 1)重定义特征属性:特征树中右击所改特征 选择上方第一个图标,对特征拉伸长度,方向等属性进行编辑

 2)重定义横断面草图:特征树右击所改特征,选择上方第二个图标,对草图尺寸、约束、形状进行修改

   修改草图基准面:特征树中右击草图,选择上方第二个图标,修改基准面

9. 倒角特征:两个相交面的交线上建立斜面的特征

      选择命令:插入 特征 倒角,利用倒角还可以创建顶点倒角特征

   圆角特征:建立与指定边线的两个曲面相切的曲面

      选择命令:插入 特征 圆角

      手工 选项卡 圆角类型 可生成一个圆角,filletxpert仅创建恒定半径圆角特征,可生成多个圆角

      变量大小:使用控制点定义圆角 选取圆角对象 定义实例数(选边上设置半径的点数) 起点和端点的半径 指定点输入半径

      完整圆角:生成相切三个领面组的圆角  定义边侧面组1 定义中央面组(变成圆角) 定义边侧面组2

      在添加小圆角之前添加大圆角、生成圆角前先拔模、最后添加修饰用的圆角、用单一圆角操作可加快零件重建速度

10. 装饰螺纹特征:表示螺纹直径的修饰特征,螺纹的线型是不能修改修饰的

       选择命令:插入 注解 装饰螺纹线

孔特征:简单孔、异形向道孔(具有基本形状的螺孔)

   选择命令:插入 特征

     简单孔:定义孔的放置面 定义孔深度、直径 设计树中右击孔选择编辑草图修改尺寸约束

异形向导孔:插入 特征 向导,对话框中单击 位置、草图中建立约束、定义孔的规格条件

11. 筋特征:不封闭,截面只是一条直线

      选择命令:插入特征

   抽壳特征: 等壁厚抽壳 ,插入 特征 抽壳,定义抽壳厚度 选择要移除的面

             多壁厚抽壳:单击多厚度设定中的多厚度面 输入数值 选取表面

12. 特征的重新排序:设计树中选取要修改排序的特征 左键不放拖动鼠标

                    若要改变父子关系的特征顺序,必须解除父子关系,一是改变特征截面的标注参照约束方式,二是改变特征的草绘平面

特征的插入操作:将退回棒拖动至要插入特征的位置

13. 参考几何体:基准面、基准轴、点(插入 参考几何体 基准面/基准轴/点)

14.             特征树右击特征弹出图标第二排第一个为隐藏与显示

基准面:(1)通过直线/点创建基准面:过点和直线的平面

        2)垂直于曲线创建基准面:过点垂直于曲线

        3)与曲面相切的基准面:过点与选择曲面相切

基准轴:(1)利用两平面创建基准轴:对话框选择两平面,两平面交线

        2)利用两点/顶点创建基准轴:选择两点/顶点,两点连线

        3)利用圆柱/圆锥面创建基准轴:选择圆柱圆锥,中心线

        4)利用点和面创建基准轴:选择点和面,过点平面的法线

点:(1)利用圆弧中心创建点:选择 圆弧中心

        2)利用面的中心创建点:选择 面中心

        3)利用交叉点创建点:选择 交叉点

        4)沿曲线创建多个点:选择沿曲线创建多个点,定义发布类型数值

   坐标系:插入 参考几何体 坐标系(定义坐标原点、X轴、Y轴)

15. 特征的镜像:将源特征相对一个平面进行镜像,插入 阵列/镜像 镜像

         选取镜像基准面,选择要镜像的特征

    模型的平移:将模型沿着指定方向移动到指定距离的新位置
