Major change! Python may replace VBA as the official scripting language of Excel!

According to foreign media reports, Microsoft is considering adding Python as an official Excel scripting language. If approved, Excel users will be able to use Python scripts to interact with Excel documents, data, and some Excel core functions as they currently use VBA scripts.

So far, more than 3883 people agree to integrate Python into Excel as a VBA replacement, and even cell functions (=SUM(A1:A2)) can be replaced by the Python function sum(a1, a2)

At present, Microsoft officials have responded positively, collecting more feedback from users by launching polls, and online surveys on how users want to use Python in Excel.

Some users believe that if Microsoft goes this route, Microsoft also needs to support Python in all other Office applications for day-to-day use.
