Insert the U disk into the computer (note that the data in the U disk has been saved before this, and the next steps will clear everything in it) , and open the Ultraiso floppy disk just downloaded.

In the win10 interface, press and hold the system key win+X to quickly open the function interface and enter "Disk Management (K)".

Move the mouse to the hard disk you want to partition, then right-click, a dialog box pops up, select the compressed volume, as shown in the figure:

After that, a prompt box will pop up, showing that the space size is being queried, as shown in the figure:

Wait for a while, after the query is completed, a dialog box will pop up, prompting you to select the size of the space to be allocated, as shown in the figure:

Determine the amount of your input compressed space according to your own available compressed space. This depends on your personal needs. The principle is that the larger the divided space, the better the better without affecting your personal win10 use. The reason is that once the divided space is small , it will be very difficult to change in the future.

PS: Be sure to carefully consider how much space is left for the Ubuntu system, and try to make it as large as possible, otherwise it will not be easy to change later. It is recommended that 50G or more, 100G or more is better .

During the compression process, do not turn off the computer, otherwise unknown errors may occur and the hard disk may even be damaged.

The compression is successful, as shown in the figure:

At this point, the disk space allocation is complete.
