Atom 1.26 also brings improvements to the filesystem monitor when the host OS cannot monitor The monitor will now automatically fall back to polling when an event occurs."

If detection fails, the user will be able to force event monitoring by setting the "File System Watcher" to "Polling", which may be required for remotely mounted drives. There's also a new, but experimental filesystem monitor that improves scalability and reduces resource consumption when watching large numbers of directories.

In addition to that, Atom 1.26 now lets you quickly open shared files from the host OS when coding with Teletype. A full list of all improvements and bug fixes added in this release can be found in the release notes.
