How to make non-printable areas gray in Excel

At work and office, we often set the spreadsheets we make in Excel as print area and non-print area. How to turn the non-print area into gray and the print area into white. Here's how to do it.

1. First make the spreadsheet you need in Excel

   

2. In View - Pagination Preview, this is also equivalent to setting the print area

   You can see that the printing area remains white, the non-printing area turns gray, and the printing area is surrounded by a blue border. You can drag the blue border with the mouse to expand or shrink the printing area freely.

   

PS: A more thorough approach would be
Select the unwanted first column, Ctrl+Shift+→, right-click - hide.
Select the unneeded first line, Ctrl+Shift+↓, right-click - hide.
