- Visit Firefox China official website to download the latest version of Firefox: http://www.firefox.com.cn/download/
- Unzip:
tar jcf Firefox-latest-x86_64.tar.bz2 - Back up the pre-installed Firefox on the system:
sudo mv /usr/lib/firefox /usr/lib/firefox_ubuntu - Replace with Chinese version:
sudo mv firefox /usr/lib/firefox - The pre-installed Firefox is started by a script, but the Chinese version does not, so copy the script:
sudo cp /usr/lib/firefox_ubuntu/firefox.sh /usr/lib/firefox/firefox.sh
After that, open Firefox again to use the Chinese version.
