Installation tutorial
1. Select the Start menu → Programs → [Management SQL Server 2008] → [SQL Server Management Studio] command, open the [SQL Server Management Studio] window, and use Windows or SQL Server authentication to establish a connection;
2. Expand the server in the [Object Explorer] window, and then select the [Database] node;
3. Right-click the [Database] node and select the [New Database] command from the pop-up shortcut menu.
4. After performing the above operations, the [New Database] dialog box will pop up. In the dialog box, there are three options on the left, namely [General], [Options] and [File Groups]. After completing the settings in these three options, the creation of the database is completed.
5. Enter the name of the new database in the [Database Name] text box. For example, here is "New Database".
6. Enter the owner of the new database in the [Owner] text box, such as sa. According to the usage of the database, select to enable or disable the [Use full-text indexing] check box.
7. Include two lines in the [Database File] list, one is the database file and the other is the journal file. Add or delete database files by clicking the [Add] and [Delete] buttons below.
8. Switch to the [Options page], where you can set the database collation, recovery mode, compatibility level and other properties.
9. Switch to the [File Group] page, where you can add or delete file groups.
10. After completing the above operations, click the [OK] button to close the [New Database] dialog box. So far, the "New Data" database has been created successfully. The new database using sqlserver2008 can be seen in the [Object Explorer] window.
