As the industry's "wind vane", Apple usually uses WWDC to introduce new tools to developers that can run on its operating system, including new versions of the iOS operating system, as well as new versions of Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch software. Last year Apple introduced iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra operating systems at WWDC, along with HomePod, iMac Pro, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, watchOS 4 and ARKit.

This developer conference, if nothing else, Apple will launch a new software system at WWDC 2018, and hardware products will also be updated. At present, Apple is likely to release software such as iOS 12, macOS 10.13.4, tvOS 12 and watchOS 5. In terms of hardware, the new MacBook Air and iPad Pro are likely to arrive.

iOS 12 will undoubtedly be the focus of the year

Undoubtedly, this year will focus on the future of iOS, especially the reliability and performance of iOS 12. iOS 11 has been criticized since its launch, and it has been caught in the "speed-down door" and various bug storms. Developers can say that they have given deep expectations for this year's iOS 12.

In addition, according to The Verge, Apple is also claiming to be launching a new universal app that will work on iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Bloomberg also previously reported that Apple will bring its Animoji characters to the iPad. The report also said that Apple plans to redesign the iOS home screen in 2019. If Apple follows its usual schedule at WWDC, an iOS 12 preview could be available to developers sometime in June.

At present, developers can enter the official website (https://developer.apple.com/wwdc/) to register. Apple officially said that registration will open at 10:00 am Pacific Time on Thursday, March 22. Due to limited places, Apple will use the lottery system to draw WWDC 2018 attendees as before. It should be noted that developers must join the Apple Developer Program or become a member of the Apple Developer Enterprise Program by 10:00AM PT on March 13th to qualify for the lottery, which will be held on March 23rd PT. Announced before 5pm.

So, is the $1,599 ticket worth it? Let us look forward to WWDC 2018 in June this year.
