Apple officially announced that the 29th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2018) will kick off on Monday, June 4th local time in the United States (1:00 a.m. Beijing time on June 5th), and the conference will last until Friday, June 8th. As in 2017, the meeting will be held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.
As the industry's "wind vane", Apple usually uses WWDC to introduce new tools to developers that can run on its operating system, including new versions of the iOS operating system, as well as new versions of Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch software. Last year Apple introduced iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra operating systems at WWDC, along with HomePod, iMac Pro, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, watchOS 4 and ARKit.
This developer conference, if nothing else, Apple will launch a new software system at WWDC 2018, and hardware products will also be updated. At present, Apple is likely to release software such as iOS 12, macOS 10.13.4, tvOS 12 and watchOS 5. In terms of hardware, the new MacBook Air and iPad Pro are likely to arrive.

If Apple follows its usual schedule at WWDC, an iOS 12 preview could be available to developers sometime in June.

Apple officially said that registration will open at 10:00 am Pacific Time on Thursday, March 22. Due to limited places, Apple will use the lottery system to draw WWDC 2018 attendees as before. It should be noted that developers must join the Apple Developer Program or become a member of the Apple Developer Enterprise Program by 10:00AM PT on March 13th to qualify for the lottery, which will be held on March 23rd PT.
