At the meeting, Kingsoft Office released the first developer-oriented product - Document Center, which provides collaborative office technology solutions for global developers. The document center has four capabilities of Office document processing, online collaboration components, file storage management, and document security management and control. In the future, the service capabilities of the data management layer will be gradually opened up. With the blessing of AI technology, it can be deployed to various foundations more independently and flexibly. in the operating environment.
After the meeting, Yang Gang, Senior Director of Kingsoft Office Product R&D, and Yu Taoyue, Kingsoft Office Product R&D Director, were interviewed by the media and further introduced the document mid-end products to developers.
What is the document center
For a long time, there has been no fixed definition of the concept of “Zhongtai”. Most companies build a flexible and fast response to changes internally, calling it “Zhongtai”. However, the "Document Zhongtai" product launched by Kingsoft this time is very different from the previous "Zhongtai" product.
Kingsoft's document center is a new document center that integrates Kingsoft's 33 years of technology accumulation in documents and cloud technology. Currently, the document center can be accessed through the WPS open platform. To put it simply, the document middle platform is to empower all developers with all the capabilities that Kingsoft has accumulated in documentation through componentization and service, helping enterprises to achieve the value connection between internal information systems and data. Yang Gang concluded that the biggest difference between the Kingsoft Document Center and other previous centers is that the Kingsoft Document Center optimizes, rather than replaces, the internal systems of enterprise customers. The document center provides the original system of the enterprise with data analysis capabilities that can improve efficiency, user experience, security performance, and manageability.
Yang Gang gave two examples, such as opening a document on IM software, you can directly change the content and write comments in the document, or write or modify the document directly in OA. Through the document center, in these scenarios, there is no need to install and open the Office software, but directly integrate the document function into the daily office system or process. For enterprise managers, data has become more objective and controllable, and the separation and control of permissions can be clearer, while improving data security. It can be seen that the important improvement of the document mid-end product itself is to expand from the editor to the document-centric office field, and to expand the application scope of the previous traditional office business.
Regarding which specific scenarios to expand to, Yu Taoyue also gave Jinshan's principles: office middle-offices are more based on demand scenarios, and at the beginning, they will start more from a single capability point to empower enterprises and help them complete business systems. building.
Currently, the Kingsoft document contains three capabilities.
The first is the service-oriented document components, including document conversion, access, content generation, extraction, etc., which will be reflected in the document center as capabilities.
The second is to get through between systems. Including the collaboration function of document editing, the document central platform provides a document preview mechanism, and the editing ability includes the ability of online real-time collaboration, which can be applied to enterprise OA, IM and other platforms, bringing customers a faster and more convenient office experience. It is hoped that through the data center, the data scattered in various terminals can be managed in a unified manner, so that the documents can be stored in a centralized manner, and the security of the data can be protected, shared quickly, and circulated in the business system.

Document middle-end architecture
At the press conference, Yang Gang announced the technical architecture diagram of Jinshan Document Middle-Taiwan.
Its main supporting capabilities are the promotion capabilities and cloud of Kingsoft Documents, which can realize multi-terminal adaptation, including mobile terminals, PC terminals, etc. The right side provides data management capabilities including security capabilities, and the combination of various capabilities can support various enterprises. Business systems, such as IM, OA, conference systems, etc., also support the circulation of various documents including contracts. Kingsoft Document Center provides the same experience for public cloud and private cloud, provides a large number of APIs, Office client uses a unified GLSAPI mechanism, and provides RstfulABPI for document cloud, all of which are compatible with the open platform previously provided by Kingsoft sex.
According to Yang Gang, Kingsoft takes documents as the core and helps customers solve all the problems surrounding documents through cooperation with cloud vendors. For example, cloud storage aims at the loss of files caused by hard disk failure, personnel resignation, etc., and cloud storage can solve this problem very well. Yu Taoyue added that regarding the combination with the cloud, there are still some capabilities that have not been exposed. For example, through the connection capability of the cloud, the data in each business system can be made alive, not as a file entity, but in the form of a single ID in the system, circulating in each system, setting permissions, and so on. In this way, the previous transmission through the file entity can be collected in the cloud for connection and control.
In addition, Kingsoft Document Center also integrates AI capabilities. Currently facing the government, Kingsoft Document Center provides collaboration assistants to help polish and fill documents. For the developer ecosystem
As a developer-oriented product, Kingsoft Document Center has also been optimized for developers to use.
Yu Taoyue introduced that one of the more friendly things for developers is that they can be built around unified standards. In the past, enterprises, especially large enterprises, had hundreds of systems, and each system had its own solution. Enterprises often needed to find large integrators to carry these roles. Now companies often choose to set up their own IT departments and R&D centers, and they need to purchase related product tools. What Kingsoft Document Center is doing is to unify standards in products, such as HTB standards, which are relatively basic for enterprises. The second is database security. Kingsoft opens up the security capabilities of enterprise documents, which can reduce the cost of enterprises in terms of security, and developers can also focus on business logic.

Office itself has secondary development capabilities, whether it is built-in VBA or external secondary development through Windows' OL technology, but it will be limited to the Windows platform, or even to Microsoft's ecosystem. , the most typical is that Microsoft does not allow VBA to authorize externally. In this case, it is very unfavorable for independent control and localized substitution. Therefore, Kingsoft adopts the more open HTML5 technology to carry out a unified open interface, such as providing GSAPI, whether it is terminal, WAP, Weboffice can be operated through JS, and it will be relatively smooth to transplant into the domestic system.
In fact, the document capability is the technical capability that Kingsoft Office has accumulated over the years, and this opening is also a strategic choice of Kingsoft.
Yang Gang said that from the perspective of Kingsoft, the previous technical barriers were related to editing, such as document format and typesetting, and Kingsoft should take a step forward in the future. In the future, the Chinese government and enterprises will need a large number of systems for digital operation, and Kingsoft hopes to build technical barriers in new ways, rather than fixed income in editing functions.
