My 21 Insights for 2021 (3/3)

2021 will be over with a swish, this year's insights, I have chosen and chosen, these are still the best.

There are three articles in this series, and this is the third article (15th to 21st insights).

The first article is here: Lessons 1 to 7

The second article is here: Lessons 8 to 14

15. Don't be afraid to stand out

The difference between a master and a mediocrity is:

Masters seek shocking beauty, they want shocking, deviant.

What mediocrity pursues is not to attract attention, not to be criticized.

If you really have no confidence, of course this is the safest.

But if you're just shy and embarrassed to stand out, think again.

American literary critic Harold Bloom said: "Academia, like literature, has always been dominated by fools, hooligans, charlatans and bureaucrats."

Do you feel a little more confident when you see this sentence?

If you have the ability, you should show it honestly.

Honesty is always one of the keys to success.

16. You won’t get very far if you don’t learn to sell

"The number one skill an entrepreneur needs is sales."

If there is a lack of salesmanship, the only remedy is to entrust someone else to do it.

"While we've been hearing things like 'It's talent that wins,' the reality is more like 'It's fame that wins'" - Kathryn Caputa.

John Z. Semez said: "The average person frowns when they mention marketers, because many marketers use dishonest tactics in a hurry. You don't have to have that impression. You've been to a bar and a nightclub and watched a resident band play. Those bands can sing as well as superstars. Have you ever wondered why these bands can only sing in small nightclubs, while some pop bands are not much more talented than them to tour the world?" 1

The real difference between a good singer and a superstar is marketing.

"Don't think software development is any different. You may be the most talented software developer in the world, but if no one knows you exist, you're just a cloud. Of course, you can always find a job, but always You won't reach your full potential unless you learn how to market yourself."

“The basic mechanics of self-marketing is that in order to get people to follow you and listen to you, you have to bring them value: you can provide answers to their questions, you can even bring them joy. If you are continuing to improve yourself At the same time, it does not bring value to others, then you will not go very far after all, because everyone will leave you.

If you can help enough people get what they want, you'll get what you want.

(See Inspiration 8: "To give is to receive")

17. Focus on reducing your personal debt

"When you're in debt, it's almost impossible to invest your money and make a profit from it. Unless, of course, the debt is paying off much more than the interest you're paying."

"Pay off your car and home loans early, and if you're smart and hardworking, you can pay off your entire debt in five to seven years. Then the money you paid off the debt can be invested."

Note: Most millionaires start getting rich at 50 and reach financial freedom at 61.

However, many people have not paid off their mortgages by the age of 50. including me.

If you still don't understand the importance of clearing debt, take a look at the following list:

  1. Employee - Makes the boss rich.

  2. Debtors - Enrich banks and creditors.

  3. Consumers - make businesses rich.

Is the left smarter, or the right smarter?

18. About short positions

Only when the stock price falls by at least 30% from the purchase price can the position be covered for the first time.

Also, there should be about a 6-month interval between the first purchase and the closing.

The same is true for the second top-up.

If you don't step on the pit, you won't learn this.

19. People should consume less and create more

People want to live a simple life.

Do not add entities unless necessary.

Every entity you buy can cause you trouble as you store, clean, organize, and maintain it.

At least, it will take up your space.

So, be careful when buying things, and buy things that are really useful and not troublesome.

People should consume less and create more.

Creation is a giving.

Telegram founder Pavel Durov said: “I never regret not buying expensive things that rich people like to buy. My only regret is not having more time to create things.” 2

If a person is 35 years old, he should think about whether he should leave something to the society because he has received so much favor from the society.

20. Before being surprised by the other person's reaction, consider how to gain the other person's trust

Sometimes well-intentioned words may lead to misunderstandings.

That means he doesn't trust you yet.

He thought you were malicious.

(See Insight 2: "Man is inherently alone")

21. Be nice to yourself

Stop blaming yourself, stop intimidating yourself.

Be kind to your mind, accept your shortcomings, and take care of your body.

Your body is a part of you, but it does not act according to your will.

It has its own needs and wishes.

So, respect it and treat it kindly.

"Your state is important, and you need to understand that by changing your body, you can change your mind."

Summarize these 21 insights

1. Time is precious, do what you like, don't be afraid of trouble, consume less, create more, and give more.

2. It is not easy for people. Reconcile with the world, with others, with yourself, and be kind to yourself.

3. Don't let yourself be outdated, don't be afraid to stand out, don't be ashamed to sell yourself.

4. Choose the person you spend the longest time with and find a similar person as a spouse.

5. Be decisive, don't turn important things into urgent things.
