How to turn off SIP on Apple M1 Mac computer

If you want to reinstall Apple's system, you need to close a thing called SIP, so many people will ask how to close this?

Apple M1 Mac computer has introduced SIP (System Integrity Protection) under the core for the safety of the system environment, also known as the Rootless mode mechanism. To upgrade the device or re-flash, the mechanism must be turned off to operate. Therefore, we must turn off SIP.

1. When the Apple M1 Mac is off, press and hold the power button until the setting appears and release it to enter the recovery mode.

2. Press and hold the power button without letting go until the screen shown below appears, and then click [Options]

Note: Press and hold the command+R key to enter the recovery mode as before. Or press and hold the Option key when booting RecoveryHD, and the method of selecting to enter the recovery mode in the boot selection menu that appears is different. This method is suitable for the version of the Apple system OS after 10.11.

3. Click [Continue]

4. Click Utilities> Click Terminal.

5. Enter the command in the terminal: csrutil disable  and press Enter to execute. Note that there is a space in the middle, and then press Enter, which is the [return] key

6. Enter [y], and then press Enter, which is the [return] key

7. Enter your computer password, and then press Enter, which is the [return] key

8. Waiting for the execution result...

9. It appears  System Integrity Protection is off. that SIP has been successfully closed.

10. Enter [reboot] and then press Enter, which is the [return] key to restart the computer.

If you want to open SIP again later, you only need to csrutil disable replace the  step 5 above  csrutil enable .

You can turn off SIP and turn it on with a few simple commands. Turn it off before we make the system, and then turn it on after finishing the system. Generally speaking, it is still very safe.
