How to turn off the Microsoft AutoUpdate box prompt for Mac

After installing Microsoft Office for Mac on macOS, sometimes Microsoft Auto Update will pop up. It will pop up today, like the following: (I do n’t know if you will be bored, I ’m bored)

If you, like me, do not like the prompt to automatically pop up the frame without permission, you can arrange it as follows.
 

Method 1: Set permissions not accessible

Open terminal

1. cd /Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/MAU2.0
2. sudo chmod 000 Microsoft\ AutoUpdate.app

enter password. In this way, Microsoft AutoUpdate.app has no execution permission

Method two: delete (it's easy, just Del to finish)

1. Open the Finder
2. Press the keyboard shortcut: command (⌘) + ⇧ + G, or the top menu, select Go, go to the folder

4. You can directly delete the folder "MAU2.0". If you are not confident, click the folder "MAU2.0" and delete "Microsoft AutoUpdate.app" after entering.
