Clone virtual machine under VMware Workstation 15 player

To build a Hadoop cluster through a virtual machine, the cluster machine must be cloned first.
If you are using VMware workstation 15 player version, there is no cloning function, we need to clone manually, the following is the cloning method:

1. Find the root directory of the ubuntu file, copy and paste, and then rename it to ubuntu1, ubuntu2

2. Enter the ubuntu1 folder and rename all files with ubuntu in the file name to ubuntu1

Note: If the name of the VM you copied is named ubuntu directly (that is, there is no name differentiation), then the above configuration file does not need to be changed when cloning, only the name of the cloned virtual machine needs to be modified.

Four, after completing the above steps, we can restart the virtual machine

Select the Ubuntu1.vmx file to open

In this way, a machine was successfully cloned.
