At the beginning, after I bought the laptop, I divided the disk into several disks. Disk C, Disk D, Disk E, Disk F is automatically generated by the system, and the contents are They are all hidden and used to perform one-key restoration when the system goes wrong. Among other disks, Disk D is used to install software, and Disk E is used to store files.
It was fine at first, but gradually there were only 10 or 20 gigabytes of space left on each disk. This routing experiment suddenly wants to free up 40G space, which is really difficult for me. Later, I checked on the Internet and found that there are good partitioning tools that can allocate the remaining space in a certain disk to other disks without damaging the files. It is said that PowerQuest PartitionMagic is very useful on the Internet, but I downloaded many versions but I can’t run it. The error says it cannot run on this system and the system is not compatible. Reluctantly, I downloaded the partition assistant again , and finally got enough 40G free memory on one disk. The operation is very simple, as follows:
1. After downloading and installing, open the partition assistant. First, separate the extra space of other disks. There are two methods:
Method 1. Use the disk to manage the compressed space on
this computer. Right-click on this computer and click Manage , Then click Disk Management,
select the disk you want to allocate extra space, then right-click, click Compress Volume, it will pop up a window showing how much space
you can allocate, enter the amount of space you want to allocate, and click Compress. Here I choose 20G (1024*20=20480),
but this method has a small disadvantage. It may be that the system wants to leave enough space for the operating system. Even if your C drive has dozens of G, the display can be compressed The space is only a few hundred megabytes, as shown in the figure below, so if you want to give the C drive space to other drives, use the second method.
Method 2. Select the disk you want to split in the partition assistant, right-click, click Split Partition, slide here to determine how much space is split, then click OK, then click Submit, continue the operation and wait.
The disadvantage of this method is that it is relatively slow.
2. After splitting the desired space size, you can merge the disks. Similarly, right-click the partition you want to merge, click Merge Partition, and select the partition you want to merge. Here you should pay attention to the merged target If the partition is the partition you want, change it, then click OK, click Submit, and then you can do it yourself and wait. In this way, the free space of other disks can be combined into one disk.
