FFmpeg series: Windows version download and install

• Since the official website address and download method are constantly changing, the time is specially noted for subsequent updates.

  • Select the option shown in the figure below, do not select "Windows builds from gyan.dev", because the download speed is slow.
    

  • When you enter the github page, you need to try this a few more times, especially since there are many people who visit in the afternoon and may not be able to get in. https://github.com/BtbN/FFmpeg-Builds/releases
    

  • Create a new folder, download it to this folder, and unzip it. After decompression is complete, click in, you can see the directory bin and doc.
    

  • Because the file name is relatively long, it is recommended to directly copy the bin and doc directories and paste them to the download location just now. For example, the location I pasted is: C:\zhangjin\ffmpeg\ffmpeg4.3.2. Open the bin directory, hold down shift, click the right-click menu with the mouse, and select "Open PowerShell window here"
    

  • Open a PowerShell window.

    Enter cmd first to switch to the command line.
    Enter the following command, and the running result is as shown in the figure, then the installation is successful.

    ffmpeg -version
