Introduction:
The Dude network monitoring is a new application developed by MikroTik, which can significantly improve the way of managing the network environment. It can automatically scan all devices in the specified subnet, draw and lay out the network topology, monitor the services of the devices and send out alarms when there are problems with the services. 1. Download The Dude
2. Download RouterOS and select X86 CD Image
installation:

Install the downloaded RouterOS iso file (virtual machine configuration bridge mode) with a virtual machine, and install The Dude exe file in the windows environment.
Configuration:
1. Log in to the system
After installing RouterOS on the virtual machine, log in to the system, the user name is: admin, there is no password by default,
2. Configure static address commands and screenshots are as follows
# ip address add address=192.168.18.109/255.255.0.0
If the LAN can automatically obtain the ip, you can use the following command to view the ip address:
# ip addr print
3. Enable dude service
# dude set enabled=yes
use:
1. Open the installed The Dude software and configure the service address and port as shown in the figure below. The username and password are empty, and click Connect.
2. Configure the subnet address and mask for automatic detection, click Discover to automatically discover the devices of the subnet, and draw the network topology.
3. The detection results are as follows, you can click on each device to view the details.
