My story with linux

From the ignorance of Linux when I graduated to the level that I am not proficient but can be used proficiently, what kind of story happened in the middle, let me tell you the story of me and Linux today.

When graduating from university, like many people, I feel very confused about what I want to do and what I can do in the future. I don’t know where I am going. Sometimes I feel like I can do everything, and sometimes I feel like I don’t know anything. Put your resume everywhere. When I graduated, it coincided with the popularity of the Internet. I heard that many seniors and sisters in the IT industry have high salaries. I was moved, so I also tried to invest in positions in the IT industry, software testing engineers, software development engineers..., although At that time, I couldn't do anything, but the courage I didn't know where came from, the result can be imagined. After a few interviews, I lost all confidence. While I began to doubt myself, I was constantly reflecting and summing up. After each interview, I will repeatedly consider the interviewer’s questions and summarize what I did well and what I did not do well. Fortunately, the effort paid off. After some tossing, coupled with the basic knowledge of the C language that my university had only a little bit of basic knowledge, I was finally hired by a certain company.

After joining the company, I was assigned to an operation and maintenance position for a certain project. Although I was in a development position during the interview and didn’t know anything about my daily work, I didn’t want that much at that time. I felt that I was already hired. Fortunately. The hint to myself every day is, don’t think about it so much. Since the company recruits you, it must have value in being used. Otherwise, why would the company raise an idler? After adapting to this for a week, the leader came over and told me, have you heard of Red Hat system? I shook my head, what about linux? , I shook my head again. Finally, the leader told me very kindly that Linux is actually very simple. You first check the relevant information. We will often use this in our daily work. If you have any questions, you can ask me or related colleagues at any time.

From then on, I started my linux learning path. After talking to this leader, I started to look up relevant information, but I had no idea how to learn. There is a saying that "direction is more important than choice". In the process of working hard, we must learn to work hard, but also learn to look up. After thinking about it, there are already many big names in this area in the company. Why not make good use of the surrounding resources and ask them for advice? After having such an idea, I immediately went to consult the company's boss. The boss told me how to learn Linux. If I want to lay a solid foundation, I still have to do hands-on operations. I suggest that I download a virtual machine, prepare the environment, and then some basic commands, and finally let me borrow a book from his desk, saying that this book is particularly suitable beginner. After reading the two chapters, I feel that Linux is not difficult. They are all basic commands, and these commands are also easy to remember, because they have similar meanings in English. Fortunately, my English is not bad. After reading a few more chapters like this, I felt so difficult again. I have never touched on network configuration, firewall, server deployment, etc. At this time, I saw the asynchronous community and WeChat subscription number on the last page of the book. The official Weibo was added, and the issue will be discussed later. These websites usually post some very useful articles. Through these channels, I have learned a lot. After a period of study, coupled with actual combat projects in the work, I have a better understanding of linux. In order to deepen the learning of Linux, I bought this book on JD.com and lent me this book called "Linux Should Learn" , which is convenient for future reference. As the saying goes, the book is read a hundred times, and the meaning comes out. After going through it a few more times, my understanding was different from the first time I saw it, so I started the road of operation and maintenance.

Thinking back to that experience now, I am really ashamed of my inaction during college. I wasted a few years in vain, so that I was so embarrassed and embarrassed when I graduated and got a job. Here, in addition to thanking my interviewer for recruiting me into the company, and thanking the leader for my tolerance who knows nothing, I am very grateful to my colleagues for helping me. At the same time , I also want to say to those confused friends like me, If you want to enter the IT industry, no matter what position you are in, Linux knowledge is our essential skill. If you are planning to enter or have entered this industry, and you don’t know much about Linux, if you want to learn from the basics, I read this book Books are really suitable for you. I am very fortunate to meet colleagues who are willing to help me sincerely. Not everyone can have such good luck as me. After all, I still rely on myself for most of the work. Solid technology is confident and confident everywhere. . Over the years, I have been adhering to my original aspiration and unreservedly recommend my good learning methods and learning resources to newcomers, in order to repay the kindness of those kind-hearted people who have shown me when I first entered the workplace. I hope that friends who read this article can really gain something from it.
