[IPFS Weekly 112] Strengthen public DHT to resist eclipse attacks

Welcome to IPFS Weekly

Here are some highlights since the last IPFS weekly report

Js-IPFS 0.51.0 with TypeScript support

Thanks to the strong support of the community, TypeScript is now an outstanding member of the js- IPFS code base, and we can now cut the installation time by half by installing ipfs-core.

Strengthen public DHT to resist attacks

Thanks to the work of some researchers and a small number of core developers, not only were we able to make some key fixes, but with the availability of Testground, we were also able to verify mitigation measures. Special thanks to A-SIT Bernd Prünster and Alexander Marsalek and Graz University of Technology for their help.

Compression exploration of Libp2p stream

Last week, the ResNetLab team of the Protocol Lab conducted a compression exploration on libp2p streams, and finally achieved a 75% reduction in bandwidth usage during IPFS file exchange. Find the way in their latest blog post.
