The Interplanetary File System (IPFS) is a new hypermedia distribution protocol, addressing by content and identity. IPFS supports the creation of fully distributed applications, and its purpose is to make the network faster, safer, and more open.

04. Host Wikipedia on IPFS
The exploration of hosting Wikipedia on IPFS has begun. The project contains code to extract content from Wikipedia and add it to the IPFS and documentation of the proposed architecture. This is just a proof of concept and is not ready for any formal use. As a reminder, Wikipedia's ipfs mirror currently exists.
