An article to understand the trading mode of contract transactions on the Matcha Exchange

What are the characteristics of contract trading on the Matcha Exchange? What do you need to know? Please read below.

1. Two-way contract

In the contract transactions provided by MXC (including USDT-based contracts and currency-based contracts), users can hold long and short bi-directional positions for a contract at the same time, and support the independence of long and short direction leverage. In each contract, all long positions are merged and all short positions are merged. When holding two-way short and short positions, the two-way position needs to occupy the corresponding margin according to the risk limit level.

For example, in the BTCUSDT perpetual contract, users can open 25 times long positions and 50 times short positions at the same time.

2. Explanation of warehouse by warehouse and whole warehouse

(1) Margin by warehouse

The maximum loss of a position by position is the initial margin and margin call for the position. If a position encounters a forced liquidation, the user will only lose the position margin for each position, and the available balance of the account will not be added.

Users can manually add margin to enter the position of each position to optimize the liquidation price. After the position margin call, if the user adjusts the leverage, the previous margin call will be reset.

(2) Whole warehouse margin

The whole position margin will include the position margin and the available position at the beginning of the whole position. Using the whole position mode, the user's available loss under the whole position will not be used as the margin of other whole positions. Currently, it supports the adjustment of the positions held Whole position, adjustment of whole position to position by position is not currently supported.

3. Modify the leverage

Currently, users are supported to modify different leverage multiples in both directions. It is possible to modify any leverage multiples from a position-by-bin basis, and it also supports changes from a position-by-position to a whole position; it should be noted that it is currently not supported to change from the whole position mode to the position-by-position mode.
