Disadvantages of vivado software simulation
1: The simulation is too slow and the speed is slow
2: Sometimes the simulation reports an error, and there is no error message in the interface.
It is really troublesome to have to let people go to the log file in the sim_1\behav\xsim path .
3: The time difference between measurement signals is not easy to use.
It is more convenient to use modelsim to simulate. Under win10, it can be used after the first cracking. It may be caused by the win10 system update. Moderlsim is often unavailable, and an error is reported as soon as it is opened, meaning that the license cannot be found. First of all, my environment variables are also there, which also point to the license file.
Solution:
1 Open the C:\modeltech64_10.5\win64 directory and find mgls64.dll. Right-click and delete the properties. Then confirm.
2: Run the patch64_dll.bat file. After a few seconds, a license file will be generated and saved as, overwriting the file with the same name under the path pointed to by the environment variable.
3: Reopen modesim.
