Linux Kernel 5.9 end of life

Recently, the Linux Kernel 5.9 series announced the end of life (KOL). It is recommended that users consider upgrading to the Linux Kernel 5.10 LTS series.

Linux Kernel 5.10 LTS has also recently updated some features , including:

  • Reduced latency of multiple file operations in EXT4 file system
  • Performance improvement of fsync() operation of Btrfs file system
  • Support RISC-V architecture on EFI system
  • BPF program that does not sleep
  • Data can be transmitted on multiple flows at the same time
