This year, telecom operators and China Tower have invested more than 28 billion yuan in 5G construction in Guangdong. From January to August, 61,625 5G base stations were newly built in the province. The number of 5G package users in the province reached 20.74 million, and a total of 98,613 5G base stations were built (the number of macro stations accounted for about 15% of the country), both of which ranked first in the country, including 30591 in Shenzhen, 23555 in Guangzhou, and 8305 in Dongguan. Foshan 7472 has basically achieved full coverage of Shenzhen's 5G network (the first to achieve full coverage of 5G independent networking in the country), continuous coverage of the main urban areas of Guangzhou, and wide coverage of the central urban area of the Pearl River Delta. This year, the "General Layout Plan for 5G Base Stations and Data Centers in Guangdong Province (2021-2025)" was released, planning the 5G base station construction goals for the next five years, and categorizing the 5G base station regional layout according to urban and rural areas and business scenarios Coordinate optimization and promote the integrated development of the province's 5G cloud, pipe and terminal integration.
