On September 10, at the 2020 Huawei Developer Conference, Huawei Consumer Business CEO Yu Chengdong announced that Hongmeng OS was upgraded to version 2.0. Next year, Huawei mobile phones will fully support Hongmeng OS 2.0, and will release a Beta version to application developers in December this year.
Today, Hongmeng OS 2.0 will release a Beta version for application developers. Applications include large screens, watches, cars, etc.
In addition, Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei's consumer business software department, said that in addition to Huawei's smart screen, subsequent Huawei products including tablets and watches will also be equipped with the Hongmeng system.
He also revealed that Huawei has reached cooperation with home appliance manufacturers such as Midea, Joyoung, and Boss, and these brands will soon release new home appliances equipped with the Hongmeng system.
At the beginning of this conference, according to Yu Chengdong, in the first half of this year, global shipments of Huawei's consumer business mobile phones reached 105 million units, and consumer business sales revenue was 255.8 billion yuan.
He said that Huawei's mobile phones accounted for more than 51% of the domestic market share in the past quarter, but it has been out of stock.

In addition, in terms of developer ecology, Huawei currently has 1.8 million developers, 96,000 HMS integrated applications, 490 million active users, and 261 billion cumulative distribution of applications.
Yu Chengdong said that Huawei will fully open its core technologies, software and hardware capabilities to developers and ecological partners to help Chinese developers go global. He said: "No one can extinguish the sky full of stars. Every developer is a spark that Huawei wants to gather."
In the automotive field, Huawei HiCar has cooperated with more than 20 car manufacturers, carrying more than 150 vehicles, and plans to pre-install more than 5 million units in 2021.
The conference was held in Songshan Lake, Dongguan from September 10th to September 12th.
