Linux: Vmware creates blank virtual machines and installs images

Step 1: Prepare VMware virtual machine and image file

I use VMware Workstation 15 pro

Image file: CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1804.rar

Part 2: Create a blank virtual machine

1: File → New Virtual Machine, or click the "Create Virtual Machine" button;

 2: Enter the New Virtual Machine Wizard, select "Typical", and click "Next";

 3: Select "Install Operating System Later" and click "Next";

 4: Fill in the name of the virtual machine, select the installation location, and click "Next".

 5: Specify the maximum space occupied by the virtual machine (not occupied after the creation is completed, but a little bit later), select "divide the virtual disk into multiple files", click "Next"

 6: At this point the virtual machine configuration is complete, click "Finish".

 7: The picture below shows the completed effect.

 Part 3: Adding mirror files

1: Click "Edit virtual machine settings", select "CD / DVD (IDE)", select "Use IOS image file", find the image file and add it;

 2: After adding the mirror location, click "OK" to be OK;

Part 4: Install the mirroring system

1: The following interface appears with a virtual machine, select "Instell CentOS 7" to skip the test step;

 2: Wait for the interface as shown below, select the language of the virtual machine (you can choose Chinese, but it is recommended to choose English, just practice more habits, haha), click continue

 3: Select "Time and Date", "Keyboard" and "Language Support";

 (1) Select the location and set the time;

I chose Shanghai and set the system time for installing the system.

 (2) Add a keyboard mode, the default is "English (US)", click the plus sign in the lower left corner to add Chinese and other input keyboards;

 (3) Set language support;

I added both simplified Chinese and English;

 4: For software selection, click "SOFTWARE SELECTION" to select;

 Enter the software selection interface and select one of the Gnome desktop environment (the content is larger, the installation may be slower, but the interface is intuitive and easy to understand)

 5: Select the installation location, select the disk just separated, as shown below;

 6: All configurations are basically completed, click to start the installation.

 7: The installation process is as shown in the figure below. In this process, configure the root user password and click "ROOT PASSWORD" to set;

 Enter the password twice. If the password is too simple, click "Done" twice to save the settings;

  8: During the installation process, configure the common user password, click "USER CREATION" to set;

 Similarly, if the password is too simple, Done twice;

 9: Accept the license information setting, click "LICENSE" to enter the setting interface;

 Just tick the box in the lower left corner, click "Done" to save the settings;

 10: Click "FINISH CONFIGURATION" to complete the installation.
