Cloudflare push family 1.1.1.1 Public DNS, prevent malware and adult content

2018 1 April Fool's Day, Cloudflare announced  1.1.1.1 Public DNS service . Now two years later, it has become the world's second largest after Google's public DNS resolver.

April Fool's Day this year, Cloudflare the representation they received a number of requests from home users, these users want to make sure that they have a degree of security threat protection measures, and can prevent children from accessing adult content. To this end, the team launched a project called DNS Service Extension 1.1.1.1 for Families, and add a new DNS server IP address to the service and filter to automatically block certain requests.

According to reports, 1.1.1.1 for Families easy to set up and install, users only need to change equipment or home network router can be set up in two numbers: Primary DNS and secondary DNS.

1.1.1.1 for Families has two default options: a block malware, prevent malware and other adult content. The user can select the desired settings according to the configured IP address.

Over the next few months, Cloudflare also plans to define other configuration settings to 1.1.1.1 for Families, including the option to create some site-specific whitelists and blacklists and so on.
