The passive voice (by + actors) can be omitted

Action actors are not clear , or unimportant , or when mentioned in the context of the actors , "by + actors" can be omitted.

1. The information is needed. Information is needed. Whom need unimportant omitted actors.

2. The book is being read. Book is being read.

3. The door was opened. Door was opened.

Passive Voice interrogative

(1) passive voice general question: subject + verb + (other auxiliary) verb + past participle ~?

1. Is the information needed by him ? —>肯定句：The information is needed by him.

Yes , it is . / No , it isn’t.

2. Has the computer been used by her ? ->肯定句：The computer has been used by her.

Yes , it has . / No , it hasn’t.

3. Will the room be cleaned? ->肯定句：The room will be cleaned.

Yes , it will . / No , it won’t.

Summary : Affirmative passive voice becomes just a general question usually put on the list be / modal / auxiliary placed before the subject.

Special questions (2) passive voice: the question word + subject + verb + (other auxiliary) verb + past participle ~?

1. The information is needed by them. They need information.

What is needed by him on the subject to ask questions:? What are their needs?

2. The girl is taken to Shanghai .. the girl was taken to Shanghai.

Where is the girl taken to locations questions:? Where is the girl was taken?

3. The book has been read three times. The book has been read three times.

How many times has the book been read to the number of times a question:? The book has been read several times?

Summary : special questions in the passive voice only general question on the basis of the passive voice in a sentence adds a special question word.
