Troubleshoot and solve the reason why EasyNVR cannot drag the time axis after downloading the video

EasyNVR security video cloud service platform is a video access, processing and distribution platform based on the RTSP/Onvif protocol. Terminals (PCs, mobile phones, tablets, electronic large screens/TV walls, etc.) play surveillance video.

Some users reported that when using EasyNVR to download videos, the downloaded video time cannot be dragged to the time axis, so they asked us to assist in troubleshooting. According to user feedback, we immediately conducted a troubleshooting.

According to user feedback, the time period for downloading is 10:50-11:30, but when playing, it shows that the total duration is 23 hours, but it should be 40 minutes. During the investigation, it was found that the videos from 10:50-11:30 exist in two folders, because the videos are stored on the hour.

After testing, it is found that the probability of abnormality is small when downloading a video under a single file. After testing multiple time periods, it is found that not every time period exists. It may be that the time stamp of a certain period of time recording is abnormal, causing the above problem to occur.

Solution:

The video is generated by ffmpeg. Download the latest version of ffmpeg and replace it in the EasyNVR software directory, and regenerate. At this time, the video file is normal. It can be judged that it is a problem with the ffmpeg version.

In the video surveillance scene, EasyNVR can realize real-time video surveillance live broadcast, cloud recording, cloud storage, video retrieval and playback, alarm, cascading, etc., which can greatly meet the video capability needs of the industry. The platform is easy to deploy and has a large number of offline applications, such as smart factories, smart construction sites, smart parks, smart ports and other scenarios. Interested users can deploy and test it.
