Common LSA summary

LSA type Advertising Router LSA content Reach
Router LSA (Type-1) OSPF Router Topology information + routing information The region
Network LSA (Type-2) DR Topology information + routing information The region
Network-summary-LSA (Type-3) APR Inter-domain routing information Non (Totally) STUB region
ASBR-summary-LSA (Type-4) APR ASBR’s Router ID Non (Totally) STUB region
AS-external-LSA (Type-5) ASBR Routing process outside the domain routing (Non-STUB area) OSPF process domain
NSSA LSA (Type-7) ASBR NSSA route information outside the domain (Totally) NSSA region

Router LSA:

Each router will generate a router LSA notice. The basic list of advertised router LSA all links or interfaces, and indicate their status and the outbound direction along each link overhead, and all known OSPF neighbors over the link. These notices will only LSA flooding diffused inside their region of origin.

Network LSA:

Each multi-access network in the Designated Router (DR) will generate Network LSA notice. As previously discussed, the DR router as a "dummy" node, or a virtual router, used to describe a multi-access network and all routers connected thereto. From this perspective, an announcement may be depicted Network LSA "false", a logical node, depicted as an advertisement Router LSA on a single physical router as. Network LSA advertised list of all routers connected thereto, including DR router itself. Router LSA just as, Network LSA is only produced in the interior region of this network LSA flooding spread.

Network Summary LSA:

ABR is a router originated. ABR to send a summary LSA area network, to advertise the region outside the destination address. Indeed, these networks Summary LSA destination address is a method for internal router connected thereto in the region it can reach the ABR tell. A station may be aggregated for the ABR address LSA within the region to which it is connected via the backbone network advertisement. In one outer area, remains in a default route inside the OSPF autonomous system may be advertised in this type of LSA.

ASBR Summary LSA:

ABR is a router originated. ASBR summary LSA in addition to the advertised destination is outside an ASBR router instead of a network, and other network summary LSA is the same.

AS-external-LSA:

Or called external LSA (External LSA), originating in the ASBR routers to advertise reach the default route destination autonomous system external to the OSPF or OSPF autonomous system external to the LSA. AS external LSA is a link-state database does not uniquely associated with a particular region of LSA advertised. Notice the external LSA flooding spread throughout the autonomous system.

NSSA LSA:

It refers to a non-stubby area (Not-So-Stubby Area, NSSA) originating the LSA to an ASBR router. NSSA external LSA LSA advertisement advertised outside and almost the same autonomous system. Impure inner peripheral area outside of the system but not as independent as advertised LSA flooding diffused throughout the autonomous system OSPF, LSA NSSA advertise only originating outside the NSSA external LSA flooding diffusion advertised
