Schematic-General Altium Designer 18 is

Schematic-General (Schematic - General) Altium Designer 18 is the first page of a third function of the "Preferences" dialog box, as shown below.

Summary Summary

As the name suggests, the "Preferences" dialog "Schematics - General" page provides a great deal and directly edit the document based on the principle figure in the workspace conventional controls related.

Options / Controls Options / Controls

Units Units

Mil mm or selected, whichever is desired.

Options selected items

Break Wires At Autojunctions- this option is enabled in an automatic wire connection is disconnected (when a T-type two wires connected / bus / or wire harnesses signal / bus / pins connected to the quadrature signal harness or power port / bus when power port, automatic connection automatically inserted).

Optimize Wires & Buses- enabled this option prevents excess length, overlaps the fold line, and a bus to each other. Overlapping line, polyline, or the bus is automatically deleted.

When you need to enable this option in order to automatically cut off the wire and placed on the wire in the assembly, terminating in two pins on any of the component.

Components Cut Wires- enabled this option into the schematic line element. The wire is then cut into two, and then automatically to the end of any two hot pins assembly segments. You need to enable "wire and bus optimization" option.

Enable In-Place Editing- If this option is enabled, you can in the schematic editor instead of a text field in the dialog box to directly edit focus. After focusing the field you want to modify, click it again or press the F2 shortcut key to open the field to edit. If this option is not enabled, you can not edit the text directly, but must be edited in the "Parameter Properties" dialog box. You can graphically move the text field.

When Convert Cross-Junctions- Enabling this option means add the wire creates a four-way intersection, it is converted into a three-way intersection of the two adjacent. Disabling this option means that when you create a four-way junction, the two electrical wires do not cross at the intersection of connection, and if the "Show intersection" option is enabled, at this intersection will be displayed intersection.

After Display Cross-Overs- this option is enabled, the current focus in the schematic drawings, the wiring cross points are displayed by a small bridge.

Pin Direction- Enable this option to show the direction of the pin components on schematic documents. Pin direction indicated by the direction of the triangular symbol.

Sheet Entry Direction- Enable this option to display the drawing direction input on the schematic document.

Port Direction- enabled this option allows the pattern determined by the respective port I / O port type of the attribute.

Unconnected Left To Right- this option is enabled, those ports are not connected on the schematic document will be displayed from left to right direction (displayed in the right style).

Render Text with GDI + - not all output devices support all fonts (Windows will automatically replace). To view the appearance of the text on the printout, enable this checkbox.

Drag Orthogonal- If this option is enabled, then the drag member, any connection with the holding member are orthogonal to the drag (i.e. 90 degrees). If this option is disabled, the wiring components will be dragged tilted. Click the check box to switch its state.

Drag Step- select the desired size from the dropdown list. Options include: "Minimum", "small", "medium" and "large."

Include with Clipboard contained in the clipboard

No ERC Markers- enable this option in the clipboard including non-ERC mark.

Parameter Sets- Enable this option to set the parameters included in the clipboard.

Notes- Enable this option to include in the record the clipboard.

Alpha Numeric Suffix alphanumeric suffix

Each part of the multipart schematic assembly by the suffix letter or number that uniquely identifies. Use this drop down list to select the suffix display:

Alpha- Select this option may be used with no letter suffix delimiters (e.g. R12A, R12B, R12C). This setting will apply to all currently open drawings.

Numeric, separated by a dot '.' - Select this option to use dotted separator numeric suffix (e.g. R12.1, R12.2, R12.3). This setting will apply to all currently open drawings.

Numeric, separated by a colon ':' - Select this option to use a numerical suffix separator with a colon (e.g. R12: 1, R12: 2, R12: 3). This setting will apply to all currently open drawings.

Pin Margin pin margin

Name- Typically, the component pin name is displayed in the interior of the body assembly adjacent the corresponding pin. This option controls the position of the component pin name. It specifies the distance from the component outline pin names beginning with the text (in hundredths of an inch).

Pin number Number- component typically appears in the corresponding pin outer assembly line immediately above. This option controls the location of the pin numbers. It specifies the distance from the component pin numbers contour to the beginning of the text (hundredths of an inch).

During the auto-increment Auto-Increment During Placement placement

When placing Primary- pin assembly, to enter a value in the auto-increment tag pin assembly. This building element is used in the library editor. Typically, positive incremental value-for-pin, code-named, using the negative incremental value to pin names. For example: 1,2,3 pins for marking, D8, D7, D6 to pin names, the Primary = 1, Secondary = -1. Before placing the first pin, in the "Pin Properties" dialog "Display name" is set to D8, the "indicator" is set to 1.

When the pin is placed Secondary- assembly, to enter a value of the auto-incrementing component pin names. This assembly can be used to construct the library editor.

Remove Leading Zeroes- Enabling this option removes leading zeros from numeric string. For example, if the string is 000 467 and the option is enabled, the string will be changed to 467, and removed the leading zero.

Port Cross References port cross-reference

Sheet Style- one of the following drawing styles, cross-referenced to a port on a project or multiple schematic drawings.

Add a string drawing style None- no cross references in all ports.

Name- The port is linked to the name of the drawing is added to the cross-reference string.

Number - The port is linked to the drawing sheet number is added to cross-reference string.

In any cross-references before the port to add to the need to compile the design project. In the "Document Options" dialog box "Parameters" page of the "Drawing Number" field is defined drawing number ( "Design" >> "Document Options").

Location Style- one of the following pattern of locations, to cross-reference port on one or more items schematic drawings.

None- cross references all the ports of the string is not added anywhere style.

Reference number Zone- region (drawing region having a frame) was added to the parent object associated with all the ports intersecting a quoted string, for example, the position of the drawing symbol.

Location X, Y - in the release position of the port cross all the ports associated with the parent object (e.g., the position of the drawing symbol) of a reference character string in brackets.

In any cross-references before the port to add to the need to compile the design project.

Default Blank Sheet Template or Size or the size of the default blank page template

Template- use the drop-down menu to set the default user template for creating a new schematic drawings. If the default template file is not selected, when you open a new schematic sheet will create a default blank schematic. Use the "Data Manager - Template Preferences" page to set the path to the template directory.

Sheet Size- down menu to select the default every time you need to create a blank drawing size when new schematic document will be created. You can also use the "Properties" panel under "Document Options" mode "Standard Page Options" is set at the level of local documents specified paper sizes.

Drawing Area- reflected in the Paper Size "Paper Size" field selected. This field is not editable.
