Photoflare is to use open source framework Qt5 written in C ++, cross-platform image editor.
It has the following features:
- Simple but powerful, and rapid completion of all operations.
- It can be used on Linux, Windows and Mac OS.
- Basic image editing functions
- Painting brush
- Image filter
- Color Adjustment
- As well as more advanced features, such as batch processing images.
How to install PhotoFlare in Ubuntu:
Since Ubuntu 19.04 from the image editing software can be used in Ubuntu Universe repository, but because Ubuntu does not provide software updates, so it may be outdated.
To install the latest version, and receive future updates via Software Updater utility official Photoflare stable PPA maintenance package, so far support Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 19.04 and Ubuntu 19.10.
1.) by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T or from the application menu search "terminal" on the keyboard to open the terminal. When it opens, run the command to add the PPA:
When the user is prompted to type the password (no asterisk feedback), and then press Enter to continue.
2) After the addition of PPA, the installed image editor using the following command:
Some Ubuntu derivative version may need to run sudo apt update.
If you have an older version installed, you only need to upgrade the software through the software update (Update Manager) utility.
Uninstall:
To delete an image editor, simply run the command in a terminal:
To delete a PPA repository, go to the software and Udpates-> Other Software tab and remove the repository line.
