HandBrake 1.3.1 release, versatile video transcoding tool

HandBrake 1.3.1 has been released , this version focuses on fix many bugs and problems in version 1.3.0. HandBrake is an open source video transcoding software for MacOS X, Linux and Windows systems.

For updates on all platforms as follows:

General

  • Fixed a crash that can occur when you open the DVD source

Video

  • Fixed an issue where rotation / flip in some cases not work
  • Fixed an issue when using --start-at QSV failure
  • Use x265 update the preset to set the aq-mode 1, which is the default setting before 1.3.0 HandBrake
  • AMD VCE to improve the rate control always explicitly set by a rate control method
  • Added a workaround to solve the problem can not be resolved x265 H.265 localized level settings
  • upstream bug when adding a patch to fix the TU depth x265 limit-tu loaded with bits of CU
  • Added upstream patch to fix x265 2-pass encoding failed
  • We added an upstream patch at the end of the final GOP to repair x265 VBV macroblocking

Audio

  • Fixed a case of introducing older preset using "und" to choose any language track
    • From the beginning HandBrake 1.3.0, "any" choose any language track, while "und" only choice undefined language tracks
  • Fixed an issue in some cases unable to detect the secondary audio track on a blue light source

Build system

  • Fixed cpp lib flag causes problems and failed to build on some Linux systems

Third-party libraries

  • Updated libraries
    • FFmpeg 4.2.2 (filter and decoder)
