The following special IP addresses are not assigned to the address of the host used:
- Host ID are all 0's address: identifying specific segments, such as: 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0, refers to the 192.168.10.0 network segment.
- Host ID is the entire address 1: The specific segment of the entire host, such as: 192.168.10.255, if your computer sends a packet using the IP address of the host ID are all 1, the data link layer address with the broadcast address of FF-FF -FF-FF-FF-FF.
- 127.0.0.1: local loopback address, local address refers generally to testing. Loopback address (127.xxx) is the local loopback address (Loopback Address), ie the IP address of the internal host IP stack.
- 169.254.0.0:169.254.0.0-169.254.255.255 actually a private IP address automatically.
