Fourth experiment: using Packet Tracer understand RIP routing protocol 345

Name: Hao Zhang fall

Student ID: 201821121005

Class: calculated 1811

1 Purpose

  • Understanding and establish RIP routing table updates
  • RIP feeling bad news travels slow

2 Experimental content

2.1 The establishment of the network topology

Network topology as shown below:

Pc configured IP address 192.168.1.5

The first router address for the interface f0 / 0 192.168.1.13 f0 / 1 192.168.2.5

The second router address for the interface f0 / 0 192.168.2.13 f0 / 1 192.168.3.13

The first machine is 192.168.1.5 Pc second single PC to 192.168.3.5

2.2 Configuration Parameters

2.3 Testing Network Connectivity

In PC1, PING PC2

2.4 understand RIP routing table to establish and update

R1:

After configuration is complete, display of a router's routing table, the last three lines above figure represent the three different network router to "distance"

Displays information corresponding to the network interfaces and routers with router

It shows the router to send and receive packets of RIP

 R2:

4. Close the router interface

By closing the first router interfaces first, and then see the rip routing to send and receive messages, I found it impossible to obtain a corresponding first PC message

5. Ethereal

rip packets sent to the newspaper's first router to a second router, the packet network connection and provides an interface where the second stage of the router
