brew cask install homebrew/cask-versions/adoptopenjdk8
After the installation is complete, execute the command in step 2 again, after a successful installation will prompt:
Note: When using launchctl the port will be 8080.
To have launchd start jenkins now and restart at login:
brew services start jenkins
Or, if you don't want/need a background service you can just run:
jenkins
4> Start Jenkins, then enter in the browserhttp://localhost:8080
brew services start jenkins
5> Stop Jenkins
brew services stop jenkins
