After clearing the Console port login password in BootROM, modify password Console port
BootROM device provides a Console port to clear the password function, you can skip password checking when the user uses the Console port login. After starting the system does not require such addition Console input password, the same normal start, will complete all the loaded configuration. Reconfigure the Console port authentication and password after the device is started, and then save the configuration.
note:
• To enter the BootROM menu need to restart the device, can cause service interruption as the case may make a backup device, and try to choose the lesser amount of time business operations.
· Clear Console port password, please configure a new password immediately after login.
· In this operation Do not power off the device.
1. The connecting device with a serial cable, and then restart. When appears "Press Ctrl + B to enter BootROM menu ..." (V200R002 and V200R003 version) or "Press Ctrl + B or Ctrl + E to enter BootROM menu ..." (V200R005 and released later) print information press "Ctrl + B" or "Ctrl + E" and type your password (the default is "[email protected]", before V100R006C03 version might be "huawei"), to enter the BootROM main menu.
2. Clear the Console port login password.

1. Boot with default mode
2. Enter serial submenu
3. Enter startup submenu
4. Enter ethernet submenu
5. Enter filesystem submenu
6. Modify BootROM password //V200R006及之前版本：Modify BootROM password V200R007及之后版本：Enter password submenu
7. Clear password for console user
8. Reboot
(Press Ctrl+E to enter diag menu)

Note: Clear password for console user? Yes or No(Y/N): y
Clear password for console user successfully. Choose "1" to boot, then set a new password.
Note: Do not choose "8. Reboot" or power off the device, otherwise this operation will not take effect.
The prompt for the device, select the "1" in the BootROM startup device main menu.
4. After system startup, without authentication when logging Console port Console Port login password to modify the password authentication, and to change the password "huawei @ 123" as an example.
